Part 6: The Holy God

If you were to see God, what would you see? The prophet of Isaiah was given a vision of God, and the ravishing beauty he saw radically reoriented his life. We also need a vision of God, for our salvation and the satisfaction of our souls.
Scripture: Isaiah 6

Isaiah tells a parable about a vineyard to show us how crucial it is that we remain connected to Jesus.
Scripture: Isaiah 5

Human pride relentlessly rises itself up against God, but it will not be allowed to stand, because in the end God alone will be exalted. This requires that we repent of our pride and trust in Jesus.
Scripture: Isaiah 2

God is the only Judge who ultimately matters in your life. The good news is that he is also the Savior who can save.
Scripture: Isaiah 1:1-20

God has designed our lives so that we spend a great amount of time working. When we work with a heart to bring him glory, we honor him rightly and serve our neighbors well.
Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 3:6-18

In every step of the way of following Jesus, we are absolutely dependent upon God working through his word.
Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5

The events surrounding Jesus' return should not lead to fear but should instead produce a deeper trust in the truth of God.
Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12

When Jesus returns in glory, it will be a day of devastating judgment for some and a day of awe-filled wonder and deliverance for others. Knowing this changes how we live now.
Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 1

When our hope is in God, it can never be moved or shaken. This hope changes how we live and puts us in the position where God does the work in us only he can do.
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-28

Bringing us into his church is one of the greatest gifts God gives us on this earth. To experience the fullness of this blessing, we must follow God's commands on how to live out church.
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-15
