Having a true faith in Jesus means that we follow him as our Lord. This means that we desire to please God in every square inch of our lives, which includes our sexuality.

Giving to the Lord

Everything we have has been entrusted to us by God, and he then wants us to use it for his glory. Through this God tests whether we trust in the true promises of God or in the false promises of money.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Living for experiences in this life misses the mark because it doesn't prepare us for the greatest experience we can ever have, an overwhelming joy which will never end.
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 3:6-13

What is the gospel message of Jesus, a word from God or simply another manmade tale? Those who belong to Jesus accept the word of God as the word of God, even in the face of strong opposition.
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 2:13-16

What matters is not only the gospel we proclaim but the manner in which we share it. This is why we need the gospel to transform our motivations and empower our love.

Part 2: A Model Church

The gospel comes to us and decisively changes our lives, and then is to go out from us so that more people can hear the good news of Jesus.
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 1:6-10

The gospel begins with God's work of choosing his people and changing them. When we see this lived out in people's live, we should give God thanks for what he has done.
Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 1:1-5

Sanctification, or growing more like Jesus, is God's plan for his people while we are on earth. This requires hard work on our part, but through the process, God is working for and in and around us.
Scripture: Galatians 5:16-26

God cares deeply not only about whom we worship but how we worship, so we look to his word to guide us in our worship gatherings.
Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:6-16

Part 1: Light Has Come

We need light and hope, but it cannot come from us since we are the darkness. The good news is that this light has come to us when Jesus was born on the earth.
Scripture: John 1:1-18
